External lighting design: from concept to execution. Architectural lighting design in LightCad – Artyom Voronov

It’s not a secret that lighting is one of the key parameters for human activities, be it natural or artificial. Light is a powerful tool in architecture that can impact the perception of space, people’s mood and welfare. Architecture is becoming more and more creative evert year. As a result, there is a growing demand for unique illumination solutions.
Professor of Lighting Design at HSE Art and Design School Artyom Voronov will present a number of baseline design concepts for architectural lighting, their pros and cons, and break down the process of creating façade lighting using LightCad software. He will give an overview of its main functionality, unique features and development prospects.

LightCad is an original software developed by Russian programmers for lighting design projects, and controlling lighting devices. Its key feature is offering a physically accurate representation of light in real time. LightCad enables the creation of dynamic lighting concepts in real time, as well as on-site management of lighting devices.
